The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals vide Order dated 15th June 2021 issued the Ortho Phosphoric Acid (Quality Control) Order, 2021 ('Order'). As per the said Order, the Company's product viz., Ortho Phosphoric Acid has been covered under the compulsory BIS certification under Indian Standard IS 798 : 2020 and should bear the Standard Mark under a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards as per the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018. In this regard, the company has announced that its product i.e. Ortho Phosphoric Acid has been granted License by Bureau of Indian Standards, with effective from 24th November 2021. GACL is the first Indian Company to get license for Ortho Phosphoric Acid under this Compulsory Registration Scheme. Shares of Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 605.25 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 628.75. The total number of shares traded during the day was 14220 in over 987 trades. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 634.70 and intraday low of 601.15.
